Forbes has seen remarkable growth in the mobile space—with just over 70% of our digital traffic coming from mobile—and we constantly evolve our products to meet the demands of a mobile-first world. Reinventing our experience for mobile natives (evolving from a new card-style mobile site to a full-blown Progressive Web App) has allowed us to capture a more diverse and influential audience, while growing readership to record-breaking levels.
Our new mobile experience is a Progressive Wep App that delivers highly visual, carefully curated and top-quality content—all in a fast loading environment backed by Google. The format is optimized for mobile-native users and advertisers—complete with a vertical, card-style layout and gesture-based navigation. Originally intended to be a secondary mobile site, the positive response has motivated us to make the PWA site a primary mobile experience—making Forbes among the first publishers to do so.
